Story

Eve was created by God from Adam’s rib, symbolizing their unity and equality. She was placed in the Garden of Eden to live in fellowship with God and in partnership with Adam.

When approached by the serpent, Eve was deceived and ate the forbidden fruit. She also gave some to Adam, who ate as well. This act of disobedience brought sin and death into the world.

Though Eve shared in the Fall, she also received the first promise of redemption — that her offspring would one day crush the serpent’s head (Genesis 3:15).

Spiritual Significance

Christ Connection

Through Eve’s offspring came Jesus, the promised Savior who would defeat sin and Satan. Her story points forward to redemption through Christ, the true offspring who brings life.

What We Can Learn
